I started my journey into IT by studying a BTEC National Diploma for IT Practitioners, which is how I first met John and Steve - I was taken on as an apprentice at Staffordshire IT Services, which was John's other company. I succeeded in gaining a distinction and lots of hands on support with all types of Microsoft Server, OSX (Apple) and Linux systems. I also assisted the iFacility Software and Design guys on an adhoc basis when they were busy on basic HTML, PHP and WordPress issues.
I formally joined iFSD in 2010 after completing my 'crossover' training initially as a Junior WordPress web developer. I quickly progressed and soon found myself not only heading the WordPress development, so Steve could progress onto the more code intensive projects, but also started assisting and ultimately became in charge of the ecommerce and shopping cart solutions (Opencart, Paypal, Stripe etc) I also look after the technical management and support of iFSD's hosting services, Office 365; we are authorised resellers on behalf of Microsoft.
I've taken everything my colleagues and customers can throw at me; and with Steve's help and some pretty long hours (working nights and weekends) I have become proficient in coding in Objective C and am now not only iFSD's lead developer for WordPress websites, but also for any iOS (iPhone and iPad) apps.
