With a degree in Zoology, marketing and DTP was not the obvious career choice, but after starting out in a very hard sell, telesales role, marketing beckoned!
I formed my experiences at IDG Communications, working my way up to Marketing Manager of Macworld magazine, where I was introduced to the world of Apple and Macintosh computers, and witnessed the launch of the iMac first-hand, along with many of its successors. Quark layouts, designing in DreamWeaver and fighting over a 1GB Jaz disc took up much of my time before I left London, had two children, and a small career break.
I launched back into the world of marketing as the credit crunch / recession / depression hit, and learnt how to design and layout on a shoestring, and how to promote companies and brands with no budget. It has stood me in good stead ever since, and I have written copy, designed promotional material and organised events for a variety of small businesses and charities.
Then I met John and got hooked by the iFSD enthusiasm, skill set and amazing ideas - I am really enjoying being involved in getting the message out to the world about how great their ideas, and realities, really are!
